New Lenox School District again working with Preferred Meal Systems:
-----------------------------------
New Lenox School District 122 is pleased to announce that we will again be working with Preferred Meal Systems to provide students hot lunches during the 2009-2010 school year.
Unfortunately, due to the rising cost of fuel and commodities, Preferred Food Services has been forced to raise the price of the hot lunches. The cost of a hot lunch with milk will be raised from $2.40 to $2.48 per meal. The cost of milk for individual sale will remain $.30. Please know that the school district does not make a profit from the hot lunch program, nor from the sale of individual milk.
As a school district, we are very aware of the hard economic times that some of our families are experiencing. For this reason, a parent is encouraged to contact the Business Manager to apply for free or reduced lunch program. The online forms become available in July and there is also a copy in the student handbook.
