EMPLOYMENT

Certified Staff

In order to officially declare your candidacy, we must have on file:

  • A letter of application
  • A completed application form
  • A set of credentials from your College Placement Office
  • A copy of your official transcripts, and
  • A copy of your teaching certificate
  • Fingerprint background clearance

In addition, you may submit any other data that would support your candidacy.

We shall establish a file on your behalf and contact you immediately should a vacancy occur that would seem to effectively utilize your competencies.

Your file will remain "active" for a period of one year. During that time, you may update any or all parts of the application. After the one year limit, you will no longer be considered for vacancies until the entire application process has been duplicated.


Substitute Teachers

Thank you for your interest in substituting in our schools. In order to be able to substitute teach the following requirements must be met:

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • A completed application form must be on file with the district office
  • A copy of both sides of your Teaching Certificate
    or A copy of your Substitute Teaching Certificate
    or
    A receipt from Will County Regional Office of Education showing you have applied for a substitute teaching certificate must be on file with the district office.
  • Interview with the Assistant PPS Director
  • Fingerprint background clearance
