Ms. Schultz

1st Grade - Nelson Prairie

About Me

Hi everyone! My name is Ms. Brianna Schultz and I am so excited to be starting my third year of teaching. This is my first year at Nelson Prairie and I am thrilled to be teaching in the district that I grew up in! I graduated from Lincoln-Way Central and then from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.  I have always had a love for learning that I can't wait to share with my students as we continue to learn and grow together.  In our classroom we will work together to create a welcoming and supportive community where everyone can succeed.  I cannot wait to see all that we accomplish this year!

Quick Facts

Started Working at NLSD:  2021

This is my third year teaching, but first year at Nelson Prairie.  In the past, I have taught both Kindergarten and first grade.

Favorite thing about teaching:

I love that no day is the same and even though I am helping students learn, I love that I can learn so much from them too.  I love watching them grow and succeed, seeing our classroom work together as a team, and finding ways to make learning fun!

I currently live in New Lenox with my mom, dad, and our new puppy Bailee! I have a younger sister who also plays softball and so many close aunts, uncles, and cousins in the area.

Graduated From: The University of Illinois at Urbana- Champaign

I graduated from Lincoln-Way Central High School, and then from the University of Illinois with a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education.  Go Illini!
