HOW TO ACCESS READY GEN 

The process for students to access Pearson content (Digits, My Perspectives, etc.) has changed since last year.  Below are the steps for accessing Pearson content through the student technology portal…

  1. Log into the New Lenox School District website    www.nlsd122.org

  2. Select the “Parents and Students” dropdown menu.

  3. From the dropdown menu, select “Student Technology Portal.”

  4. To access READY GEN From 

  5. Students will use their Google login information to access Pearson.

Username = 122FIRSTLASTNAME (ALL CAPITALS)

Password = nlsd+5-digit code (nlsd##### - all lower case)

  1. To access ELA homework, select the red “Classes” and choose the appropriate class.

  2. To access ELA content and lessons, select the green “Browse” and choose the appropriate class content.

1/2 day on Friday, October 29th 10:35 Dismissal

1/2 day on Friday, November 19th 10:35 Dismissal

Parent Teacher Conferences November 22nd and 23rd 

Happy Thanksgiving: No school November 24th, 25th, 26th

School Resumes Monday, November 29th

Not sure how to log onto e-learning? Follow the directions below.

Go to our NLSD website. Click on Parents and Students

Next click on e-learning (7 tabs down)

Then click on e learning days in the lower left hand corner.  

Follow directions and do activities from the chart.

What we are working on in October and November:

Math:  

Unit 3: Fraction Concepts, Addtion and Subtraction

Students should be able to:

  • Add and subtract fractions with unlike denominators
  • Solve word problems involving additin and subtraction of fractions
  • Multiply fractions and whole numbers

 

IXL skills: Suggested Skills can be found when your child logs in to IXL. I have suggested specific skills that correlate with each lesson taught in UNIT 3.

Reflex: Plese continue to practice math facts. Students should hit the green light at least 3 days a week.

UNIT 2: Whole Number Place Value and Operations (Test was given October 13th)

Students should be able to:

  • Write and interpret numerical expressions
  • Recognize and explain patterns when multiplying a number by powers of 10
  • Multipluy multi-digit whole numbers
  • Divide whole numbers including two digit divisors
  • Convert standerd units of measurement
