PARENT HOMEWORK: Sign-up for School Messenger to stay up-to-date
_________________________
Student Cell Phone & Smartwatch Policy: To minimize distractions and promote a focused learning environment, all student cell phones must be powered off and stored in their backpacks during the school day. Devices may only be used in the main office with teacher permission. Cell phones and smartwatches are not to be used for communication during the school day. If parents need to get a message to their child, they should contact the main office directly. Likewise, if a student is not feeling well, they should report to the nurse, who will assist them in contacting a parent if needed. We recognize that technology has changed how we communicate, but we are committed to helping students build independence and problem-solving skills. We ask for your support in reinforcing this policy by encouraging your child to seek assistance from school staff as needed throughout the day.
Walkers/Bike Riders: All walkers and bike riders will be entering at the Spencer Pointe entrance. Doors will be open at 7:25AM. Students are encouraged NOT to arrive earlier than 7:20 AM as there is no staff
supervision before this time. Students may ride bikes or skateboards to school. Bikes must be locked up in the bike rack on the Pointe side during the school day. Skateboards can be stored in the main office. We will not house electric bikes in the building for any reason; therefore, we recommend students do not use these as a mode of transportation to and from school. Upon arriving on the school sidewalks, students need to walk their bike and hold their skateboard while entering the campus.
