*School Hours: Our regular school day is 9:15 a.m.- 3:40 p.m. Students enter the building at 9:05 A.M. Students should not arrive any earlier than 9:05 a.m.
*Arrival and Dismissal-All car riders will be a drop and go this year. There will not be the option to park and wait with or for your child at the front doors.
*IPADS-The student iPads will be housed at school and only sent home if needed to complete a project.
*Lunch: Please consider your child’s ability to be independent while packing his/her lunch. If your child can not open their fruit cup at home, they will not be able to open it here. We will not have plasticware available, so please send that from home, if needed. Please pack your child’s lunch in as many throw away bags and baggies as possible. For ease of transition, some students may be taking their reusable lunch items with them out to recess after lunch. Ideally a brown bag and all throw away items should be used so they do not have to bring anything home after lunch.
Student Dismissal Changes: Parents must contact the office before 3:00 p.m. daily if you are changing how your child is going home for the day. No changes will be made after 3:00 p.m.
*Attendance: If a child will not be in school please call in your child's absence by 9:30 a.m. each day. Our 24-Hour Absentee Line is 815-462-7988.
*Vacation: Please contact the school if your child will be absent due to a vacation.
*Change of Information: Parents may log into their Powerschool account to update any changes such as phone numbers or emergency contacts. If you have difficulty with this please contact the school office for assistance.
*Emergency Closings: New Lenox School District has set up the School Messenger system. You should receive a call regarding school emergency closings. Closings will be listed on local media outlets as well.
*Office Hours: The Spencer Pointe office is open from 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. daily.
