Superintendent's Biography
Dr. Lori Motsch is proud to serve as the NLSD 122 Superintendent. She began her career in New Lenox School District #122 in 1995, as a teacher at Schmuhl School. Over the years, Dr. Motsch has worked in the New Lenox School District as a teacher, assistant principal, principal, and director of personnel. Dr. Motsch earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from Illinois State University. She also obtained a Master in Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of St. Francis. Shortly after completing the Master program, she attained the State of Illinois Type 75 administrative certification. In 2016, she completed the Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and received her State of Illinois superintendent’s credential. Dr. Motsch’s dissertation, A Study of the Effect of iPad Use for Reading Intervention at the Kindergarten Level, is featured on the Jolly Phonics website.
Dr. Motsch has thoroughly enjoyed serving the community of New Lenox for the majority of her career. “I feel fortunate to work in a school district where all stakeholders care deeply about providing the very best for the children of New Lenox. It is a true honor to work with a talented staff, caring families, and amazing students”.
